ETF Prime Time

It’s always a treat meeting some of your favorite Twitter follows at investment conferences and events. Back in February, I had the pleasure of meeting Nate Geraci for the first time, despite us both “knowing” one another from social media. Nate is the President of The ETF Store, author of The ETF Educator blog, and the host of the radio show/podcast ETF Prime. (I’m starting to think this guy has a thing for ETFs 😏)

The two of us crossed paths at the Inside ETFs conference as I was traversing the exhibit hall, using my Terminator Vision to identify and procure the top-level tchotchkes. With my fidget spinner and Rubik’s Cube secured, I recognized Nate and the two of us talked shop until the next session started. Nate was kind enough to invite me to be a guest on a future episode of his podcast, to which I happily obliged.

We recorded the episode last week and it is now available for download. Nate and I covered a lot of ground in a relatively short period of time, with topics ranging from geeky to silly and everywhere in between:

  • The proper pronunciation of ‘bps’
  • The ETF selection process
  • Multifactor ETFs
  • Where we use mutual funds vs. ETFs
  • The possibility of a Bitcoin ETF
  • Commission-free ETFs
  • The ETF Fee Wars
  • Best ETF ticker symbol
  • The most important driver of long-term investment success
  • And much more!

The entire episode is worth a listen (ETF.com’s Dave Nadig is in the segment before me and he rules), but my interview kicks off at around the 17 minute mark. Tip of the hat to whoever decided to go with Pardon Me by Incubus for my lead-in song 💯
